This year’s speakers and presenters include:
- Steven Walker – NACD – He is director of the Board Advisory Services, legal counsel, and corporate secretary of NACD. He has served on the boards of the Young Professionals of the American Cancer Society and Friends of Gusman Philharmonic. Previously, Mr. Walker worked in the financial services industry with Kidder Peabody & Co., and served as general counsel and senior executive to public, private, and nonprofit entities. In the government sector, he served as a U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission attorney-advisor.
- George Feiger – Contango Capital Management – Prior to Contango, Mr. Feiger served in a number of senior positions in the financial services sector. He was a senior advisor to the Monitor Group, Global Head of Onshore Private Banking for UBS, Global Head of Investment Banking at SBC Warburg and was a senior partner at McKinsey & Co. During his time in Europe, Mr. Feiger led the merger integration of the corporate finance businesses of Swiss Bank Corp. and SG Warburg, and oversaw the consolidation of SBC Warburg’s sales and trading businesses. Mr. Feiger was also a partner at Capco, a financial services consulting firm.Mr. Feiger holds a PhD in Economics from Harvard University and was an associate professor of Finance at Stanford University’s Graduate School of Business.
- Les Brorsen – Ernst & Young – He currently chairs the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants Federal Legislative Task Force. He serves on advisory councils and steering committees for several members of Congress and is E&Y’s primary point of contact with various business and investor organizations including the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and the Business Roundtable.
- Joan Woodward – Travelers – Ms. Woodward joined Travelers in 2008 from Goldman, Sachs & Co., where she was the founding Executive Director of the company’s Global Markets Institute. During her nine years at Goldman Sachs, Ms. Woodward also served as Vice President and Director of Washington Research for Goldman Sachs’ Global Investment Research. Prior to joining Goldman Sachs, Ms. Woodward worked on Capitol Hill for 12 years, serving as Deputy Chief of Staff for the U.S. Senate Committee on Finance as well as Senior Economist for the U.S. Senate Committee on Governmental Affairs and the U.S. House of Representatives Committee on the Budget.
