A registrant of the conference just asked a good question about finding the conference meetings at the St Regis. It is a different venue than we have had in the past and so I think it warrants a full response in this blog. Perhaps I will make a video tour of the check-in procedures and post in the next few weeks.
If you are using a GPS or some kind of mapping device to find your way to the St Regis, please use the following address to enter into your mapping/GPS device:
St Regis Deer Valley Resort
2300 Deer Valley Drive East
Park City, Utah 84060
The Summit Conference Meetings are held in the Grand Ballroom of the St Regis which is along the left (southern) edge of Deer Valley Ski Resort. The hotel is actually up on the hill to the left so you have to valet park your car and ride the funicular up (It’s the trolley-looking car that runs from the resort to the lower check-in area.)

The check-in desk personnel will direct you to the funicular and give you directions to the meeting space. Once you have ridden the funicular up from the lower check-in area you will find the upper check-in desk that can provide further assistance if you happen to lose your bearings from the breathtaking views as you ride up the funicular. After crossing through the upper lobby, you descend a series of steps. At the base of the steps you will turn to the right to find the Grand Ballroom where the Conference Meetings will be held.
If you have any additional questions, please reply to this post and I will update and respond.
Thanks – Kevin

All the pieces are in place for another successful Summit D&O Training Conference. We have a great venue at the St Regis Deer Valley Resort and the lineup of presenters has never been stronger.
REGISTER NOW for a great conference that will help you be a better board member while providing over 9 hours of CLE, CPE and Director Education Credits. Pricing is a bargain at $500. Comparable Director Education Conferences cost between $2000 and $6000.
Lodging at the St Regis is at the steeply discounted rate of $239 for a Superior King or Double-Queen Room. Supply is limited.
The
Summit D&O Conference is now in its twelfth year and could not happen without the financial and logistical support of its fine sponsors. Unlike many other conferences, the Summit Conference is somewhat discriminating in whom it targets as attendees.
The organizers target working Board Members and Officers for attendance and discourage non-board members from attending the conference. This lends to an atmosphere that fosters a collegiality and frankness among attendees that is unmatched in most other conferences. Real learning takes place as experts and working Officers and Board Members grapple with the demands of ever widening legislation and the ethos to do what is right for the company.
The organizing committee is made up of a distinguished group of professionals dedicated to Director Professionalism. Some on the organizing committee also are sponsors of the conference. Many on the committee also serve on the board of the National Association of Corporate Directors.
Sponsors for Summit 2013 are as follows:
Diversified Insurance Group is the Title Sponsor for 2013.
BYU’s Marriott School of Management and the National Association of Corporate Directors are Non-Profit Supporters that contribute much in the way of Educational Material and Resources for Speakers and Presenters.
Gold Sponsors for the 2013 Summit D&O Conference include the following companies:
This year the Summit Conference moves to the luxurious Montage Deer Valley Resort
and the experience should be even better than years past. The service is impeccable and the amenities feel just right without being too stuffy.
Group rates are available three days prior and three days after the Event dates indicated in the room block, subject to availability of guest rooms at the time of reservation. If you wish to add additional nights, please call one of the on-site reservations agents at 435.604.1300 to inquire about availability. Mention “Summit Conference” to book at the discounted rates.
